The Monticello Solar Powered Ventilation System is designed to control the temperature in your greenhouse during the hot and cooler months. Most plants will not flower and fruit at temperatures over 85 degrees. To get them to flower temperature control is key. Our commercial fan, exhaust louvers, and commercial thermostat are all made in the USA and our solar panel can produce more than 2 times the needed power to operate the fan at 100%, allowing for future options such as lighting and heating. The Monticello Solar Ventilation System allows for off the grid operation, getting power to your greenhouse where you need it. The system is easily retrofitted to other non-Monticello greenhouses as well. The system can easily be set-up to run through a deep cycle marine battery to allow for power on demand, with or without the sun's power.

Will this work on a greenhouse that isn't a Monticello?

Yes — it's easily retrofitted to other, non-Monticello greenhouses.

Does it need to be plugged in?

No — it's designed for off-grid operation. It can also be wired to run through a deep-cycle marine battery for power on demand, with or without direct sun.

What's included?

An 18" commercial ventilation fan, an aluminum 5-louver fan cover, a commercial thermostat, a 40-amp solar panel with mounting brackets, and instructions for battery powerpack setup.

How much power does the solar panel produce?

More than twice what's needed to run the fan at full speed — enough headroom to add lighting or heating in the future.

  • Why is the CFM of this unit?

    best estimate would be a 500 CFM rating. I believe the fan is capable of doing more but with a solar fan, the strength is solely reliable on how much power the solar panel is producing at any given time. Let me know if this helos or you have any further questions on this unit.
